Here's what we do:

Eye Examinations

• We check your sight (can you see?)
• We look at both the front and the back (the inside) of your eye to make sure it's healthy
• We test for glaucoma (pressure inside the eye)
• Colour Vision testing if warranted
• Occupational Vision Screenings for computer users and those working with eye hazards
• Sports vision assessment and enhancement - this includes testing things like hand-eye co-ordination, reaction speeds, depth perception and ability to track a moving object
• Blur is able to offer basic unbiased advice and assessment for suitability for LASER surgery, and provide a referral to a LASER clinic where appropriate. We are independent, and have no formal relationship with any ophthalmologists (eye specialists/ surgeons) or clinics.

Spectacle Frames

• We stock a large range of unisex, funky fashion frames. We want you to love wearing your glasses!
• You will find great alternatives at blur - our range is really different and introduces the latest trends from Europe.
• All the blur staff are trained to assist you to select the right frame for you. Most people are a little overwhelmed when confronted with having to choose a new pair of frames. Don't try to do this on your own. Remember - you may only do this now and then, we do it all day, every day. And we're good at it (and we're honest)! We will recomend frames that suit your face shape, facial features, colouring, and personality.

Spectacle Lens

• Blur has access to the latest technology in lenses and coatings, from most of the local and international lens laboratories
• We know that having great looking lenses is all part of loving your specs! When recomending lenses for you, we take into account your prescription, frame, when, where and how you wear your glasses and how well you look after them (oh - we know that you'll look after them SOOOO well!).
  

Spectacle Accessories and Repair

• We do most minor spectacle repairs and servicing on site, while you wait. We adjust spectacles to ensure they fit properly, and we sonic clean glasses to keep them looking 'like new'.
• Blur stocks a varitey of 'goodies' related to glasses, such as:
• Lens cloths and cleaning sprays
• Clip On sunglasses
• Prescription swimming goggles
• Magnifiers
• Emergency reading spectacles
• Cases
• Blur has access to some really interesting 'bits and pieces'. If you are looking for something a little unusual (for your glasses!) then let us know - we will do what we can to get it for you.

Sunglasses

• Blur stocks a really large range of fashion, sports and specific use sunglasses. Not only can we give you great advice about what looks good, we can also advise you on your lens needs, and prescription suitability.
• Blur staff can adjust and service your sunnies.
• All our sunglasses offer 100% UV protection, conforming to Australian standards.

Contact Lenses

• Blur has access to the latest international and local contact lens technology, and often participates in international trials of lenses before lenses are available in the Australian market.
• Contact lens solutions and accessories are available and the Contact Lens Club (available to those who purchase contact lenses through Blur), offers discounts on solutions and sunglasses.
